The best way to learn is through hands-on experience, and that's the drive behind the mybusinesspr public relations workshop. Our public relations workshops are held in a relaxed atmosphere with activites, mock scenarios and plenty of opportunities for questions.
We offer two options with our PR workshop, either you come to us at our office (details below), or we can come to you (wherever you are). If you're interested in hosting a PR workshop drop us an email at workshops@mybusinesspr.com.au. Prices vary depending on how far we have to travel and how many people we're presenting to. Usually we require 3 weeks notice, but if you've got an urgent requirement drop us a line and we'll see what we can pull out of the bag.
We can (and have done) onsite workshops, university lectures, tafe courses you name it. We're experienced, energetic, and our passion for public relations is a sure fire way to get your audience involved, participating, and interested in public relations. Imagine what it can do for your business!

The purpose of this session is to introduce you to the way the media operates. How do they find their content? What are they looking for in a story? When are their deadlines? And most importantly, how can you become media savvy and secure free publicity for your business. The workshop covers the following topics:
- What is PR and how do you define your PR objectives? How do you create a PR plan?
- Selecting key media targets and building media relationships
- Creating topical and suitable angles - what's newsworthy about your business?
- Writing media releases that get results
- Timing pitches, distributing material, talking to the media
- Media monitoring and measuring the results
You will walk away with a better understanding of what is newsworthy about you/your product/your service, and with an easy to follow formula for publicising your business. The evening concludes with refreshments, and an opportunity to chat to PR consultants and fellow small businesses.
Payment is required to secure the booking.
